Much More On Soap Nuts

I'm learning how careful one must be when purchasing soap nuts.  The brand that I advertised was apparently a good one because they remove the seeds, but it is still good to know what you are buying. You may click *here* to read and article on things that you should know about soap nuts; but I've written some highlights below.

Buying the de-seeded soap nuts is a big thing.  You are paying for the weight of the soap nuts and the seeds are dense and heavy.  More importantly, the seeds aren't to be used in the wash.  They can stain your cloths and they haven't any cleaning power.  If you find any soap nuts with seeds, it is best to remove the seed before using them to wash.

Another important point was when purchasing soap nuts, don't be fooled by the labels that tell you how many washes you will get out of the package.  It is best to buy a good product and learn how to get the most out of them on your own.  It was suggested that beginners start with 5 soap nuts (de-seeded of course) for 5 loads.  From there, you can figure out how to get the most washes out of your product.
