I've never attempted to make a kombucha baby from store purchased raw kombucha. I ran out of kombucha babies because my last batch of kombucha had mold growing on top. I was sternly warned that when this happens to ditch the whole batch of kombucha. It pained me to do it, but it is done.
I purchased some Synergy kombucha (unflavored) today. I chose the one that looked like it had a bit of a scoby in it. I will post my progress in a few weeks and tell you if I have a baby or not. Because it is getting colder, it will take longer for a baby to form. Wish me luck!
